Art is meaningless and has no purpose. But a life without art is meaningless and has no purpose.
My name is Drew Hebbard and I have been making art for my whole life and couldn’t imagine living without it.
I made this website to act as a personal portfolio for my artwork. Additionally, as a page to sell some of my artwork so I can afford to keep making art. And maybe to go on some surf trips.
If you are interested in purchasing an original painting you might see here send me an email. Not all my work is displayed here, if you are interested in seeing more let me know.
I am also taking commissions, send me an email and we can talk details, prices, and ideas. I will make the artwork, collect payment and deliver it.

The role of an artist has changed over time. To tell stories, spread religion, capture history, spread politics, consider the future. To me, the role of an artist today is to bring people back to the now, the present. I want to help people find and appreciate beauty in today and in the small things. To make people’s lives better.
Surfing is a good metaphor for life. “You cannot control the waves but you can learn to surf.” Life comes in waves, opportunities, some big some small, some days no waves. A surfer positions themselves and throws themselves in the way of danger to ride the wave. A surfer is known to “spend years chasing seconds.” A surfer stands tall with strength, peace, and focus while surrounded by total chaos. If you catch the wrong wave you might be in the wrong place at the wrong time to miss the wave of your life. Surfing teaches patience, peace, strength, work, beauty, pressure, living in the now. And waves are great for art because the lines, the color. It’s a blessing.
I am going to create a masterpiece, just wait.
